Peace out jeans! Jean alternatives for curvy girls!

It’s freezing here in Chicago and NYFW is finally over with. I think autumn has finally arrived. One thing I despise about cold weather is wearing jeans. I’m an apple shape, which means my top is heavy and my bottom is smaller. Jeans can be and often are uncomfortable to me. They tend to hurt my stomach area after sitting down for a long period of time. I get an imprint from my jeans putting pressure on my waist from sitting. It’s annoying and quite painful. So when every magazine under the sun comes out with their denim issue I’m not excited at all.

Dresses are my thing. They make me feel pretty and girly, but in the cold months in Chicago tights won’t protect my legs from the wrath of the bitter cold. So what’s a girl to do? I’m glad you asked!

Slouch pants! I bought three pair of jersey pants from ASOS Curve & Plus Size last year and I absolutely loved them! They come in different prints and colors. You can dress them up or down. They look great with peplum tops. Similar to slouch pants are joggers, peg pants and harem pants. All of these comfortable elastic waist pants are perfect for my apple and box shaped friends out there. With the right accessories like a wrap belt, high-waist belt or an infinity scarf you can turn your comfy pants into a city-comfy-chic outfit.

I know many people aren’t a fan of leggings any more. However in the winter months, a pair of leggings or jeggings with tights underneath a dress or long top will help protect you from the cold.

Peace out jeans!
